Songs of a Summer Past:
Brahms’s Complete Sonatas for Violin & Piano

Brahms often found inspiration during his summer retreats, where the beauty of nature and a sense of solitude allowed his most intimate and lyrical works to take shape. His three violin sonatas, composed across different periods of his life, reflect the warmth of these cherished seasons—tender nostalgia, sweeping passion, and profound introspection.

Violinist Akiko Miyazawa and pianist Tommy Seah reunite after completing Beethoven’s sonata cycle to present the full set of Brahms' violin sonatas in one afternoon. Join us for a rich and evocative journey into Brahms' world, where each sonata sings with the echoes of golden summers past.
